Lead Teacher

IPCP seeks a Lead Toddler Teacher to join our team beginning July 2018 to be a part of our unique nature-based learning environment for our Preschool class consisting of children ages 2 to 3 years old.

Minimum requirements:

Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field, Technical Certificate of Credit, or Child Development Associate and have at least 2 years experience working with children.

Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, have the ability to sit on the floor and interact with children, ability to hear and see children, lift and carry at least 50 lbs., and walk and run with ease.

Candidate must have experience and knowledge of play-based curriculum with experience in Creative Curriculum a plus.

Candidate must be reliable and have a warm and supportive attitude towards children, families and colleagues.

Additionally, candidate must possess skills in early childhood education, strong communication skills, and a commitment to professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with knowledge and experience in nature and outdoor education, the Creative Curriculum, and Conscious Discipline as well as an understanding of cooperative preschool environments. CPR and First Aid a plus!

Details:

This position begins in July 2018 and runs through the end of the school year in May 2019 with the possibility of teaching in the Nature In the City Summer Camp program in June & July 2019. Job hours are approximately 8:30am-2:00 pm, Monday - Friday.

Assistant Teachers

We have openings for Assistant Teachers for both our Toddler and Preschool classes to be a part of an unique nature-based learning environment for children in the toddler and preschool programs serving one to five year olds.

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and have an Associates or Bachelor’s Degree or CDA, have the ability to sit on the floor and interact with children, hear and see children, lift and carry at least 40 lbs., and walk and run with ease.  Additionally, candidate must possess skills in early childhood education, strong communication skills, and a commitment to professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with knowledge and experience in nature and outdoor education and the Creative Curriculum as well as an understanding of cooperative preschool environments preferred. CPR and First Aid a plus.
