Summer is on the way and we’re excited to offer another year of our Nature in the City Summer Camp!
With our rich curriculum and amazing outdoor classroom space, IPCP’s Nature in the City Summer Camp is sure to bring your child a summer full of discovery, fun, and friendship! Campers will spend their days exploring our outdoor classrooms, engaging in learning activities, and playing in nature.
Nature in the City Summer Camp offers varied and unique session themes, along with special visitors designed to enhance the learning experience. Send your little one to a camp where they can discover and fall in love with nature.
Each session theme is offered twice in the summer. Choose from some or all of the themes with a variety of activities planned for each session.
Session 1: Art Explorations
May 29-June 1 (Tues-Fri) & June 25-29
It’s time to paint, sculpt, drum, and sing. Campers will discover their creative sides during this session dedicated to visual arts and music. Special visitors during this session may include a local artist and a music concert.
Session 2: Water Wonders
June 4-8 & July 2-6 (4-day option only; no camp on Wednesday July 4)
Investigate many amazing things about water through explorations, hands-on activities, and water experiments. These weeks will include one day of full body water play requiring swimwear. Special visitors may include Science Creations and a bubble experience.
Session 3: Amazing Animals
June 11-15 & July 9-13
Campers will explore the wonderful world of animals through adventures including live animal encounters, games, crafts, and other fun activities. Special visitors may include Zoo Atlanta and Little Red Barn Mobile Petting Zoo.
Session 4: Tinkering and Construction
June 18-22 & July 16-20
Curiosity and problem solving come together as campers delve into simple machines and the way things work. Daily hands-on experiments provide an excellent opportunity for preschoolers to discover new ideas and make connections with the world around them. Special visitors may include a touch a truck experience and local engineers.
2018 Tuition Information
Toddlers (1-2 years old)
3 days (T-Th): $140/week
5 days (M-F): $225/week
4 days (T-F): week of May 29 & July 2 ONLY): $185/week
Preschool (3-5 years old)
3 days (T-Th): $130/week
5 days (M-F): $210/week
4 days (T-F): week of May 29 & July 2 ONLY): $170/week
There is a $50 non-refundable deposit required at the time of registration to hold your camp dates. The $50 will be deducted from your total tuition. Camp tuition is due May 15, 2018 for the first four camp weeks and June 15, 2018 for the remaining four camp weeks.
Early Bird Discount: Register before March 31st and receive $10 off per week.
Referral Discount for Current IPCP Families: Refer a friend and you both receive $15 off your total camp cost.
AfterCare is offered from 1pm-3pm daily. Families must register for AfterCare when they register for summer camp. AfterCare tuition is due when camp tuition is due.
AfterCare Fee: $20 per day
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in AfterCare will include enrichment for preschool age campers. Enrichment will occur from 1:15 to 2:00 each afternoon and feature the following programs.

All children enrolled in AfterCare participate in enrichment at no additional cost. Families wanting to participate in enrichment must enroll in AfterCare for the day. Children must be enrolled during the camp day and registered in advance for AfterCare to participate in enrichment.
Important Camp Information
- Camp hours are 9am-1pm. AfterCare is offered 1pm-3pm.
- 5-day (Mon-Fri) and 3-day (Tues-Thurs) options are available.
- IPCP Summer Camp serves children ages 2- 5 (as of June 1, 2018) and all incoming IPCP children who are 12 months (as of June 1, 2018) and walking.
- All campers receive an official IPCP Nature in the City t-shirt!
- More information regarding health forms as well as what to bring for your child’s camp experience will be sent via email upon confirmation of your child’s camp enrollment.

Day in the Life of an IPCP Camper
While our schedules are flexible and adapt to the needs of the children and the weather, the following activities are part of a typical day at IPCP’s Nature in the City Summer Camp:
