Summer Camp 2026
Join us for a summer full of discovery, fun, and friendship! Campers will spend their days exploring our outdoor classrooms, engaging in learning activities, and playing in nature.
A typical day at IPCP’s Nature in the City Summer Camp includes the following:
Conscious Discipline Connection activities during morning circle
Two small group activities per day related to the session theme
Free-play in our rich learning environments
Story and song times throughout the day
Snack and lunch times (campers bring all meals from home)
A registration fee of $35 per child for currently enrolled families and $50 per child for all other families will be collected at the time of registration. More information on payment policies will be found in the application. Registrations are processed on a “first come, first served” basis. Space is limited!
Important Camp Information
Camp is organized into four 2-week sessions with different themes (see below)
Camp hours are 9 am - 1 pm
Optional extended day options include BeforeCare (8-9am) and AfterCare until 3 pm. These are offered daily and must be pre-paid for an entire session; there will be no drop-in AfterCare offered during the 2024 camp sessions.
5-day (M-F), 3-day (M/W/F) and 2-day (T/Th) options are available
IPCP Summer Camp serves children ages 2 - 5; Children who are 1 (as of September 1, 2025) may enroll if they currently attend IPCP or will attend IPCP for the 2026-2027 school year
The tuition for Sessions 1, 2, and 3 have been adjusted to reflect the holiday closures on May 25, June 19, and July 3, respectively
Children who are currently enrolled in the 2025-26 T2 Honeybees class will be placed in the Preschool Camp

2025 Camp Sessions
Session 1: Garden Explorers
(May 26 - June 5)
Children begin their summer by getting their hands in the dirt and their hearts connected to the natural world. Campers plant seeds, water gardens, observe worms and insects, and discover how food grows. Through gardening, sensory play, and outdoor exploration, children learn to care for living things while building confidence, curiosity, and cooperation.
Tuition reflects camp being closed on Monday, May 25.

Session 2: Water & Wonder
(June 8 - June 18)
Water Wonders invites children to splash, pour, explore, and investigate the magical properties of water. Campers experiment with floating and sinking, melting ice, moving water through ramps and pipes, and using water to care for plants. Through joyful outdoor water play, children build early science and math skills, strengthen their bodies, and practice turn-taking, problem-solving, and self-regulation.
Tuition reflects camp being closed on Friday, June 19.

Session 3: Imagine & Build Workshop
(June 22 - July 2)
In this creative, hands-on session, children become builders, engineers, and designers. Using loose parts like sticks, boxes, rocks, planks, and recycled materials, campers build forts, create machines, test ramps, and invent their own structures. Children learn that there is more than one way to solve a problem, that mistakes help us learn, and that collaboration makes our ideas stronger.

Session 4: Stories in the Wild
(July 6 - July 17)
Books come to life outdoors as children build fairy houses, create puppets, and act out favorite stories using natural and recycled materials. Through imaginative play and simple sustainability projects, campers learn to care for the Earth while telling their own magical tales in the great outdoors.
