We are excited to announce that applications for the 2024-2025 school year are open through February 10. The 2024 Prospective Parent Meeting/Open House spots filled more quickly than we anticipated this year. Therefore, we will record the event and email it out in early February to interested families who could not attend. We will also offer a school tour led by the school director on March 7 for families who applied and were granted interviews but were unable to attend an Open House. While we know it's important to see and experience the school, attending an Open House does not impact an application, so families are welcome to apply anytime before Feb. 10.

Applications, Interviews & Availability
In previous years we have offered interviews to all applicants because our goal is to welcome as many families as possible! However, due to the high volume of applications we received in recent years, we aren’t able to offer interviews to every family. We use the written application as a way to better understand your family prior to interviews, so please use this as an opportunity to describe more about your family and your perspective on learning and community building. We intend the written application to take between 30-45 minutes to complete. Applications will be reviewed by two members of the admission committee and scored based on a rubric. Applications with the highest scores will be offered an interview by March 1.
At this time, we do not know the amount of spaces that are available for next year. Each year varies based upon current family re-enrollment, sibling enrollment, and waitlist acceptance. We take our waitlist seriously, and offer enrollment to waitlisted families first in the spring. If you are placed on our waitlist after the interview process, please know we will do our best to admit your family!
We request a $100 application fee to cover the costs of processing the application. IPCP does not offer refunds for applications if you are not granted an interview.
Age Requirements
For the 2024-25 school year, children can enter IPCP if they are 1 year old before
September 1, 2024. Our classes are divided by age group:
1 year olds (born Sept 2022 – Sept 2023)
2 year olds (born Sept 2021 – Sept 2022)
Multi-age preschool for 3-5 year olds
The state of Georgia utilizes the Sept 1 date for children to enter elementary school who are ages 4 (Pre-K) and 5 (Kindergarten).
Class Size / Teacher Ratio
IPCP maintains small class sizes to ensure maximum attention is paid to each child. Student-to-teacher ratios are maintained as follows:
11 to 2 for the one-year-old class
16 to 3 for two-year-old classes
12 to 2 for preschool classes
In addition, Parent Helpers are in the following classrooms each day:
Toddler 1 class (1 Parent Helper is always in this class)
Toddler 2 class (1 Parent Helper is always in this class)
Preschool classes (1 Parent Helper is shared between each pair of classes)
